Students will review and build upon their knowledge of literary genres, techniques, elements, and devices through the study of works written by American authors. Through these studies, students will also demonstrate literary analysis skills through a variety of oral and written practice and assessment activities. Additionally, students will identify people and events important to both American history and culture.
