Choir allows the student to use his or her God-given skills in a God-pleasing way. This includes regularly-scheduled concerts and special religious services. Much of the class hour is spent rehearsing for such concerts and events. Students are also encouraged to prepare solos and ensembles for WSMA district competition. Some elementary music theory and history is presented in relation to the specific choral works being rehearsed. Participation in the Mass Choir also makes members eligible to audition for the Northland Northwinds, the primary touring and “show choir”. Students may be nominated for local, regional and national honors choirs.
