This course is designed to prepare students for entry into collegiate mathematics or for a year of Advanced Placement Calculus AB. The course covers a wide variety of concepts, the basic knowledge of which is essential for success in a calculus course. The first semester focuses on algebraic principles, while the second semester is directed at trigonometry concepts. As a full-year class, Precalculus combines two semester-length NTC dual-credit courses: College Algebra (Semester 1) and Trigonometry (Semester 2).
