SCRIP costs you nothing: when you pay $25 (or any amount) for a gift card you get a gift card for $25 (or the exact amount you paid). The stores give Northland a discount for each card, however, so there is a profit that goes toward whole school and individual family tuition. This is a fantastic way to contribute to tuition assistance for a specific family and for the whole school in general without actually giving any of your own money.

In addition, most SCRIP can be purchased right from a smartphone or a computer. Please seek more information on how to be a SCRIP user, encourage others to use SCRIP and to sign up for tuition accounts, encourage SCRIP sales and use in your church or business, and more.

How does SCRIP work?

Support Northland Lutheran High School effortlessly by purchasing gift cards from the SCRIP Office at NLHS for your everyday expenses—gas, groceries, clothing, household items, and dining out. A percentage of each gift card purchase is given back to NLHS as a rebate, helping fund our school at no extra cost to you!

For example, Kwik Trip offers a 5% rebate, so when you purchase a $100 gift card through the NLHS SCRIP Program, NLHS receives $5 from the transaction.

What is the SCRIP Tuition Credit option?

This exciting option allows you to split the rebate from your SCRIP purchases 50/50 between Northland Lutheran High School and your family!

Using the example from above, the $5 rebate would now be divided—$2.50 goes to NLHS, while $2.50 is “banked” toward your family’s personal tuition obligation. All accounts are managed by the NLHS SCRIP Office, and any tuition credits accumulated will be applied to the following academic year. A simple way to support NLHS while reducing your own tuition costs!

How do I start a family account for the SCRIP Tuition Credit option?

To start earning tuition credit through SCRIP, simply complete a Family Agreement form (also available at the NLHS SCRIP Office) and submit it to the NLHS SCRIP Office. Once your form is processed, your account will begin accruing tuition credit with your very first SCRIP purchase!

Accounts can be opened for children from newborns through 12th grade, ensuring long-term savings on tuition. Plus, once your family account is set up, grandparents, family members, coworkers, neighbors, or friends can also apply their SCRIP purchases to your account—they just need to provide your family account name and number at checkout. A simple way to make tuition more affordable for your family!
