Paying for High School

Northland Lutheran High School, its Association, and Board of Directors are committed to providing a premier Christ-centered education to all students regardless of a family’s financial situation.

Ways to Pay for High School

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program

Northland Lutheran is a member of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) that allows eligible students to attend a participating private school in grades four-year-old kindergarten (K4) to 12 at a discounted price. Each year, parents must complete the Online Parent Application.

Visit the WPCP website for program details and links to forms.

Special Needs Scholarship Program

Northland joined the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) beginning in the 2023-24 school year. This program is a Wisconsin funded program similar to but different from the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. Students who have an individualized education plan (IEP) or service plans that qualify would be able to sign up for the program and can get a voucher for free education.

Northland and the family of the student with the IEP meet to discuss the services the school can offer the student. There is no income requirement attached to this program.

Our special needs teacher and our entire staff will work with these students and their families as we recognize the importance of providing special needs education as part of our Christ-centered curriculum.

Tuition Assistance

Northland has a Tuition Assistance committee which partners with families to make Christian education affordable to all students. Each application for tuition assistance is handled individually as Northland will provide as much assistance as needed without being restricted by a set amount to reward.

Additional Ways to Save

SCRIP (School Cash Rebate Incentive Program)

When you purchase gift cards from the NLHS SCRIP team to use at national and local retailers, you receive tuition credit for your family. Without spending any additional funds to purchase everyday items such as gas and groceries, you can earn credit that will be applied toward your tuition payments. SCRIP is available for purchase at the school, several area churches and also offers options to purchase and reload cards online. Please see our website or contact the school office at 715.359.3400 for more information and open your SCRIP Tuition Credit account so you can begin earning credit today.

Family Support

Perhaps a grandparent or other family member would be able to provide financial assistance with your tuition obligation. Also, once you set up a SCRIP Tuition Credit account as mentioned above, family members and friends can designate your family to receive tuition credit from their purchases as well.

Congregational Support

Inquire with your pastor to find out if your congregation offers tuition assistance what steps can be taken to participate.
